SAN DIEGO (KGTV/CNN) – Some Coach store customers may have some extra cash to put into the brand's popular purses and wallets.
A class-action settlement was reached with the chain and approved Friday.
Coach was sued for requesting the addresses, phone numbers and emails of customers.
Coach denies any wrongdoing but agreed to the settlement.
“All of those class member, all 1,047,000, now have a chance to save 30 percent on all their purchases. They can go in, clean up the store if they want,” said attorney Neil Fineman.
Any customer who bought something at Coach between Feb. 15, 2010, and Feb. 29, 2012, with a credit or debit card will now be eligible for a 30-percent off coupon. Coach must have taken your email or mailing address in order to receive the coupon.
The attorney involved said the lawsuit will protect the privacy rights of future shoppers.
